Hi it all depends how far you want to go. Any engine has a performance ceiling and at some point maybe one should look at a bigger scooter/motorcycle. But for your scooter you must consider firstly your weight and if you are hefty you can change the roller weights in the variator to something a little lighter as this will give you better pull off power. You can start playing around with racing variators/springs as well. On my scooter I changed the inlet to something bigger ( I removed the stock air cleaner and put a foam cylinder type in) but that necessitated larger jets as well and idle jets. Just those changes changed my scooter from a struggling 50mph on an uphill to 62mph on the same hill. I can run at 75mph on a level road and the throttle still has a little something in it. If your scoot gives similar performance then I would suggest leave it and be happy.
