Still waiting for cooler weather befor opening the garage door. 104 is too hot. I did for the heck of it put a new belt and 12g rollers on . no change. If this turns out to be bad gas? Vacuum check on hold

104F? Man why aren't you out working on this thing? Heck it's that hot here in the shade! Know exactly how ya feel, I've got some routine maintenance to do on mine and about noon is all I stay out. Only getting down to mid 80's here in the night! I hate summer! JR

In the past 8 years we have owned several scooters,Quads, motorcycles, and have accumilated a lot of stuff, a carb being one of many items. So I threw it on just to see if it made any difference. After doing different adjustments to the other carb.

Ok, I just done a vacuum test between manifold and carb. At the best carb ajustment the needle sputterd between 21-25. Couldnt get a steady needle. Is this ok ?

That is a very good vacuum reading. The reading is jumpy because it is a single cylinder engine so the quage is reading the pulsing vacuum. More cylinders = smoother vacuum. This pulsing vacuum characteristic is necessary for vacuum fuel pumps that are found on some of these engines.

Put it all back together, did a quick after break down detail cleaning on it and took it for a ride. Its running great. Good take of and top end. Now what fixed it ? The roller weights new belt or heet in the gas tank (Bad Gas) ? ?Lol one of those three take your pick. Thanks for all the replies. I once again have a happy wife!
