You guys just made me realize again what a lovely fraternity us scooter riders have. JR I think the wires were more pinched than burned, it looked like that anyway. I have replaced the 25w front globes with 35w and I almost never drive after dark and in the day I have this habit of switching the lights off on roads were it is safe to do so. Tomorrow I will test it longer as tv suggested and see where the vdc wants to aspire to (weather permit as I believe we in for a real winter cold here in Johannesburg with 32f min and 48 max). Many thanx for the advice, I am pretty handy on the mechanical side but my knowledge on stators, RR's etc is not my strong point. Still I manage eventually.
