Am I the only one who's speedo cluster on the Jonway is suffering from a discoloration due to sun light. The spedo and ref counter plastic covers is no longer clear but a light caramel tint. I managed to find a complete cluster for SA 100 rands ($12.50) second hand but brand new (slight cracking of the plastic mould) one of the covers is also cracked but the other is like new. I tried some "suggested" remedies like boiling it in salt water but even a mild abrasive steel polish (brasso) did nothing to restore it. any suggestions on how to get it clear again

used headlight restoretion kit from the parts house if you used a mild adbrasive on it you will need to polish them with finer and finer polishes to get them clear again

I decided not to use the "new" plastic covers but had new ones specially cut from perspex. As you can see compared to the sun damaged cover the new ones look pretty decent.

What a difference it makes especially when riding with sunglasses. An absolute pleasure seeing the dials again
