Thought the new motor/cvt on my Tank was making noise. Turned out it's the axle bearing in the frame extension. I seem to be having trouble getting it out. I've heated the extension up and the bearing still won't beat out. Not getting the frame extension hot enough?

Dumb, dumb, dumda$$. Pulled the seal off and found a retainer clip. Bearings come off a lot easier when you remove the 'c' clip.

Ordered the new bearing and installed it before I checked at 'work' and found we have a 'sh__pot' full of 6203 bearings here that are used on electrical motors. The one I ordered and received was 'shielded' on one side so I packed it full of grease before I installed it. Does anyone know if a 'sealed' bearing would also work OK?

yea i think it will work just fine and you would not need to pack it ful of grease the one that has a sealed side an open side would have a chance of the grease running out
