Re-set valve lash yesterday, rode it around and seemed to be holding idle RPM without dying. Rode to work this morn, back home at lunch and 1/2 way back to work, died at a stop light. Would not re-start with starter switch, just click, click at the starter. Not too concerned at that point as I figured I would kick start it (note to self make sure kick starter bolt is tight). Thinking but just thinking that starter has been crapping and putting two much load on the battery? At any rate I was able to disconnect/re-connect every plug in the starter circuit, down to battery and loosened and re-connected at that point, also checked grounds. Battery had a full charge this morning when I left. What now?

One of 3 things if all connections are good;
(1) Weak battery, test with volt meter needs to be 12.7Vdc or higher (2) bad stater relay, test by jumping terminals with screwdriver (3) bad starter will know this if other two check out ok.

Bro (tankrider) and I got it up into his truck, got it home, hooked it back up to bat tender and immediately turned green. Hmmm seized? Put a socket on it and not prob, cut a jumper wire turned on ign and jumped solenoid nada nothing? Tender immediately went back to charge mode? Order new solenoid?

OK when you said jumped the solenoid you meant the two large nuts or the battery cable directly to the starter cable right? If it did nothing and the tender went back to charging then you've either got a bad starter or battery.
I would let the battery charge for a hour or two, unhook it and let it sit for an hour and then put a volt meter on it and check the voltage or even take it to a auto parts and have it load tested.
If you jumped the two main large terminals on the starter relay and got nothing then again it's a shot battery or starter if again all the wires are connected well.

Thanks JR. I have already taken the battery out and put it on my small battery charger and will leave it. When I checked the battery it showed 13.3 before I jumbered the solenoid with a MAJOR drain. And yes, across the two posts. Will see what happens in the morning. Leading me to believe either the batt, solenoid or starter at this point. Bro still has his starter off his old engine so may be a place to start.
