well now i know they are ac thanks now i need them to work so my stator is good battery still not charging. I have not checked my bulbs but i have checked the plugs that plug into them and no power at all so if they are ac and my battery is not charging that means the wires are getting no power. we are getting closer to victory Thanks for the help So whats next

Have you checked your fuse ? don't just look at it check it with a meter !!!! I spoke to JR a little while ago and we seem to think the past owner may have tried to convert your charging system . If so it is not complete . You can convert your head lights to dc , add a switch or relay and pull a heaver wire to feed the headlights .
JR and I spoke about 3phase stator and ac headlights seem very odd ball to us .

so why am i getting nothing on green to yellow on my stator but yellow to yellow reved goes 50+acv The stator is floating which means it has no direct connection to ground. Zero volts is good in this case. One problem that stands out is that the red wire at the R/R does read battery voltage at any time. Also, why is the high beam headlight running on DC on a scooter that many people feel has AC headlights? It would seem like a partial conversion by a previous owner? And, as usual, it's a Jonway so only the great Scooter Gods may know what the actual wiring diagram is.

not to seem dumb i am to the scoot world but how would you check the fuse and what do you look for i know the one in is a 15a 250v glass fuse what are you talkin about with heavier wire and switch. Thanks to everyone who has helped i am learning alot thanks to you guys

You seem to handle DC readings with you meter OK, so here's one way to check that main fuse. Set the meter to read 20 volts DC and attach the black lead to ground or the negative terminal on the battery. Check both sides of the fuse with the red probe. You should read the battery voltage on both sides of the fuse. If not, then you have a bad connection or the fuse is open. You can check the fuse directly by pulling it and use the ohm function of the meter by putting the probes on either side of the fuse. It should read zero ohms. Most people replace the fuse and fuse holder with a better quality automotive style spade style plug in fuse.

I have been looking a parts matching mine and i think i have a 11pole stator and a six pin regulator i know the regulator is 6pin and the stator its a 4+2 wire harness so thats what i matched up on monster scooter parts so is that a miss match or does it work THANKS

so why am i getting nothing on green to yellow on my stator but yellow to yellow reved goes 50+acv The stator is floating which means it has no direct connection to ground. I mentioned that to John Cruiser and also lennie in a PM about the green being a floating ground and lennie has give it away on the AC lights; yes my low/high beam switch does have a yellow wire along with a blue and white He also mentioned the brown wire, this is the typical wiring system for the 4 wire R/R and he also gave the exact wire colors on the CDI for a AC powered CDI too. This again tells me it was just like all of the sister look-a-likes out there it was an original 4-wire single phase 8-coil stator at one time. Since he now has 3 yellow wire from the stator we know it's been changed, it's just too hard for me to believe that Jonway made this scooter with a 3-phase 11-coil stator? if they did then he needs to do the following; We know his voltage readings on the stator are good so again he needs to trace out the ground wires from the battery to the frame to the engine and make sure they are getting good contact. Hook up the R/R and bolt it up to the frame and make sure it is getting a proper ground, THE R/R MUST BE GROUNDED! Since I believe it's been altered he needs to trace the red wire from the R/r out and make sure it's hooked to the positive side of the battery. Trace out the black wire from the R/R and make sure it's hooked to the black wire from the igntion key switch Trace out the green wire from the R/R and make sure it is grounded to the frame. Lastly since we know the headlight switch has the yellow feed and the other light feed wire is brown he needs to trace these out and fine out where they hook up? Since ha has no lights then he has choices; (A) run both the yellow and brown to one leg of the R/R yellow and leave them on AC or; (B) run both the yellow and brown to the battery and either put in a relay to have them come on and off when he starts the scooter automatically ot put them on a manual toggle switch. Lastly after he traces out the wires on the R/R to make sure they are hooked up right he needs to see if he has charging volts to the battery if not and he's chaecked all the wires out his R/R is toast and he needs to get another one. That one will work too and if it matches yours then that's all that matters.

The red wire from the R/R clips into a Brown wire and goes upfront still trying to trace the others

Normally the Brown wire will carry 12v. Alleyoop

JR was saying it should trace to the positive side of the battery but it does not is this a problem

I cannot answer that, if you have a diagram or JR has a wireing diagram for your scoot that would tell all. Alleyoop
