Alright, a forum members sold me a carb upjet kit for $8, and today I put on the Dragon Custom Big Shot Air Intake. Then I went to upjet the carb to at least a 110 (it has a 102 in it, at least that what's marked as.) However, it looks like I have a problem. Here's what my carb jets look like, compared to what he sent me: So it looks like those won't work. I don't know that leaving the new air intake on is a good idea, since the a/f mix is probably going to have too much air, and not enough fuel. The main jet does NOT come apart from the emulsifier tube. I've banged it up a bit trying to get it to do so, looks like it's one piece. What are my options? Where can I get the correct carb jets? And while I'm waiting for them to arrive, is there anything I can do?

I put the stock 102 main jet/emulsifier tube back in, buttoned everything up, and...she won't start. I'm assuming that's probably because I emptied the float bowl when I tried to do the upjet? Letting it sit for a bit, too damn frustrated with it.

Just went outside and cranked her, she started right up. Idle seems to be higher than it was; maybe because of more air with the more-free-flowing intake? (I haven't put the exhaust on yet.) I'm worried that with the free-flowing intake (and exhaust, which I'll put on later tonight or tomorrow) that she's going to run too lean.

Raise the Needle all the way up and do not run it at Wide Open Throttle until you get the bigger Main Jet. Alleyoop

What do you mean "raise the needle all the way up", and I have the bigger jet already, I just need an emulsifier tube for it. Don't know where to get it.

The needle on the diaphgram cylinder Move the CLIP down and that will raise the Needle so it gets more gas. Alleyoop

If I can't find anything else I'll call them on Monday and see if it works with the Keihin carb.
Didn't you say you ordered two of these?

Yes I did, and I just opened one up and I took the Main Jet out that is why I want to see the TOP of that. It may look like one piece but it may not be. And I really do not think it is one piece. Alleyoop

I tried forcing it apart with two pairs of pliers, but all I did was chew up a bit of the brass. I don't want to f*ck it up completely, because then I'm stuck and wouldn't be able to ride the bike at all until I got it replaced somehow.

Like I said take a picture of the top at a little angle I want to see how it goes in. I HAVE NEVER seen a one piece and mine are not and they are the same carbs. Alleyoop

I'll pull it back out and take some pics at an angle. Gimme 30 minutes or so.

TWO PAIRS of pliers!! screw the emluser back on the carb USING the Square bottom part to tighten. Then with the Pliers Hold the Bottom and use a SCREW DRIVER that Fits the length of the SLOT on the MAIN JET. Lean a little on it and turn it counter clockwise they are on pretty tight. But if you have the right screwdriver that fits the LENGTH of the SLOT it will come out. Alleyoop

This is the best I could get my iPhone to take. Do I need to just try and force it apart?

Yay! You're right, it did come apart! I had to force it with a flatblade screwdriver, but it finally unscrewed. Whew!
