John, if you click on the image itself it gets a little clearer. It is a deffinent maybe.
Lazerorca, can you scrape the blue away and take another pix?

To me it looks like there is a lot of gunk in there, I ZOOMed in on the picture and it just looks like gunk and not a crack.

is it possible that the guy who had it before me put in the wrong size seal? how would I find out if the dimensions are correct?

Your very deep with the seal, I would have only gone flush. I would check at the 6oclock mark to see if it is cracked.
