15o cc scooters all done and running fine at55mph now its time to bring out the big bad boy----1979 Kawasaki KAWASAKI KZ1000 ST shaft drive VINTAGE OLD SCHOOL needs cleaned up carbs cleaned and reset and put in sink and its ready to roll out if you want speed iyt will do 160 with no problem 33 yrs old and only 14,476 miles on it and never hab any major work done on it.--- all origional except for paint

I had the same bike for twenty years and put 125,000 miles on it before I sold it. Solid, dependable and can easily do 600 mile days without beating you up.

ya im thinking about selling it for or trading it for a used 260 scooter or higher, like this one im 66, and the bike at over 800 pounds, its a little much for me any more but your right it rides grate and sure is strong and at 33 yrs and only14000 mi on it its a rare collectors bike now , but ill tell you open it up and its gone with the wind alright what kind of $$ did you get for yours, thanks for the reply

Yep those KAWASAKIs used to run, run, run all day long, they don't make them like that anymore. Alleyoop

With the exception of the klr650 engine I've not known a bad engine from kawaka. They're bullet proof and pretty immortal. Not to mention kawas version of power delivery is less than subtle That's one fine looking bike, what do you use to sync the carbs? your ear or one of those mercury doodads?
