OK, here is the drill for a DIY windshield: Take your old windshield off and place it flat on a piece of 3/16 inch polycarbonate (Lexan) . clamp it down until there are no spaces between your windshield and the new sheet of Lexan. Trace it out, including all mounting holes and make any changes in shape and size you want. Take the sheet of Lexan and cut it out on a scroll saw or use a sabre saw if that's what you have. Smooth out the edge with emery cloth. Drill, shape, and smooth out the mounting holes. Mount the shield on the center bolt and work your way out to the outer most mounting bolts.
Notes: Go to an auto glass repair shop, see if they have any scrap pieces big enough for your project. I spent $30 and got enough for two windshields.
No heating is needed to mount the windshield. The Lexan (polycarbonate) is flexible enough you don't need to heat it. It helps to have strong hands or a friend with strong hands.

Nice find. If you happen to order the one for $80.00 let us know how it goes.

Just FYI - i emailed GIVI and the D211ST is no longer available. Only the D210 is still being made. So if you manage to find a 211ST consider yourself lucky. I can't seem to find the Cee Bailey one anymore either. The D210 is the taller one and a person could always buy it and cut it off? JR

I thought the 211 was the taller one. I could be wrong tho.
D210S = 25.75"H x 17"W D211ST = 29"H x 19"W

Now I'm confused! I'll look mine up and be sure and I'm sure you're right I just looked at the number wrong. Doesn't make sense they would discontinue the taller one? Oh well who said they always make sense! JR
