I've been riding around the lake but hadn't ventured outside. Monday was nice and the scoot needed gas so I decided to ride into town. Texas Eastern is putting in a new gas pipeline up the way on the main road and there's a lot of construction activity so I thought I'd run in the back way. It sure was fun and scenic doing 45 mph on the twisties through farm country. I did about 20 miles round trip.
Bad side - 93 octane was $4.29!
When I got back, I decided to trim the forsythia out front that haven't been touched in years. I started at about 10, finished about 2PM. I thought I was going to croak off from the heat. At 6 PM, it was still 87 degrees.

Now 5.13 for Premium here. It's not hurting with the scoot but the cage is beginning to get silly to fill. I miss European engines (but not the even higher gas prices).
