I was finishing up my parents tax return last night and came across the Alternative Vehicle Credit. Mostly used for Hybrids, Electric cars and such but, I was thinking ..... If a buy a new scoot this year, Can the purchase price be used as a energy efficient vehicle deduction/credit? Just curious.... I assume an electric scoot qualifies but, Wouldn't just owning a scoot for daily commuting be considered An Alternative Vehicle Or a "Green" vehicle? Again Just curious if this is something others have thought of or do. Hell you can write off most everything else.....

Now that was funny!!!!!!! Thanks John.... Does that mean Trike kits should be considered cars? ? 4 wheels do touch the ground........ Just joking but, I'm sure some asshat has introduced a policy somewhere. Seriously though- Is there ANY type of known Tax break for owning a scoot??? Or, should I just accept that riding a scooter is way cooler than any other form of transportation and be happy with that
