That coyote sure know his stuff IMO. Kids today...... It's a "Cool World" with so many new riders but I fear this season, wabbit and duck hunting will open early. PPPPPPPlease don't pull my ears again Side note--- I just found out The Force family will be in Vegas very soon I get to see the races FREE so long as I'm out of work by 4am on Friday. Scoots/ Pit bikes and Nitro funny cars make for a decent weekend IMO... My ribs can still still serve drinks and accept tips...... I hope to NOT see ya all till Monday

I would have to say Terri I think your being a bit too harsh. I have read this a couple of times and stayed out of the conversation. Basically from what you are telling me that I could never ask for free information because I am charging someone to do work for them.
So what I am getting at as I am a Professional CADD designer and we charge are clients to do a job for them. Now If I have a question about how to smooth in an intersection with another intersection on a road that is on a slope to get my ditch lines to flow correctly. You are saying that I should not go to a free forum discussion group to get an answer. I should pay someone to help me answer the question because we are getting PAID to do this design work for the CLIENT.

WOW REALLY
so ur saying its ok for someone to charge someone else, to do a job, when they have no idea what they are doing?
well cool then, i am gonna start my own scoot repair shop "TERRI LEE'S SCOOT REPAIR" even tho i dont know enough to do this. and every problem i have u will tell me the way to fix it and then i can charge the $50 /hr that most shops charge and U HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THIS
may i have your home phone number just in case i have a "rush job" like that kid did, and ur not on line so i can get paid
i guess i will learn to have no prob charging other people for YOUR expertise.

See Terri.
There is your problem. You are flat out saying that NO ONE should ask for any help of any kind if you are charging someone to do a job.
I work with Civil 3d And I have yet to find anyone that KNOW Every single thing there is to know about all of the features of it. So from what you are saying that I should never go and ask anyone a question without paying for it.
You are right you have your right to your Opinion of the situation.
I guess in your profession you Must be PERFECT then. You must never have to ask anyone for any help at your job? If that is the case then you are 100% correct. Other wise what you are getting paid since you have someone paying for your service you best never ask for FREE advice from anyone.

i dont know first how do u know thats what the persons doing may he needs a edcutation to help him along the way to helping himself earn a living, i suppose if they would be up front with what they are doing people would be more tolerant ,but when you hide behind a pretext of what your doing you tend to P people off and any info you get from them may be other than they wanted ,or just plane wrong. ive met a lot of good people on this forum and need and always use any and all advise always willing to learn new and better ways and things, and every one seems willing to help with their info as i would with as little as i know, why would any one want to put the kibosh on that buy doing any thing under handed they would only be hurting themselfs why would you want to do that to yourself it doesnt make sence huh, people i just dont know any more Travler 1

I also agree with Alley, when I first got my scoot, my buddy would go on these forums to help me, (before I join up) but he never charged me anything, and I would do the same if anyone would need my help.

Well here's another one to look at: scooterdoc.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=150cc&action=display&thread=6164I really liked this comment: yeah i know, i wasnt going to use a gasket at all but the guy wanted a gasket. i grew up on dirtbikes, my father showing me everything he knows ( still teaching me to this day lol ) on 3 of our bike builds, we removed the gaskets completely as to slightly reduce the size of combustion chamber via piston ride height. napa says that the cork gasket maker sheet is treated cork that can handle gas and oil. never heard that before lol. the less he spends in parts, the more money i make.
