I have a Viva MP250RO (Jonway YY250T), and I got it with 2650 miles on it, it is a 2007 model.
I'm now over 2900 miles, but the trip odometer is messed up. It'll run smoothly up to 9.9 miles, but then the numbers will just stop there. I have watched it and they try to turn but then bounce back slightly. The tens digit never moves off of 0.
I can reset it, and it'll work fine up to 9.9 miles again, then it stops there.
Is the trip odometer busted, or is there just some part sticking in there? Also, I need a diagram on how to take the speedometer assembly out. I tried once, but couldn't get the base plastic piece off the handlebars, because some snapped in piece of plastic around the key hole wouldn't come off.

More than likely it's stripped but if you open it up it may just need a little light lubrication? Here is the Honda Manual section and look at the Reflex manual. This scooter is a clone of that model and this manuaL should be of help taking it apart. lots of screws I will tell you. Also Welcome to the forum! JR

In a flurry of disassembly and taking about 20 screws out, I got the windshield off and the dash and gauges apart. I cleaned everything really well, it needed it. The clear plastic gauge covers were and are turning yellow.
Anyway, I found the problem. There's a metal arm that holds the end of the clock spring for the speedometer needle, and it was blocking the 10's digit from turning. I bent it a bit (yes, I know this can affect the speedometer accuracy) and the trip odometer now works fine. I found how to remove the trip odometer assembly from the speedometer, and oiled it well with WD-40 several times, and cleaned it with simple green afterwards to get the excess oil off.
It turns nice and smooth now! I also oiled the hell out of the speedometer cable with WD-40.
