How many wires come out of the cord? I would think the label is telling about the internal wiring. .

Black and Red is usually a safe bet........ +/- Just be ready if a fuse blows in your home. Maybe test it with a 12v battery before plugging into a wall socket ? Good luck and nice find!!!!

From what the diagram shows is that there should capacitor a cross the red and yellow wires. One side of the power would go to the blue and the other to the black or white. Don't try it without the capacitor or it won't work.

This motor most likely uses the capacitor as a starting function which means it may not start without the capacitor. The capacitor gives the motor greater starting torque. Connecting one side of the AC input to the white will give you low speed and connecting to the black should give you high speed.

black wire is hi , white is low , blue gets one side of the line . depending what speed you wand to run the other side if the line gets black or white . the red and yellow go to the capactor . DO NOT CONNECT TO DCV!!! DO NOT CONNECT WITHOUT CAPACTOR a 5uf cap is more common and cheaper .

ok read the label the red and yellow are hooked to an ccapacitor the value of the cap is 6uf the blue wire is common and the other two wires are for the two speeds of the fan you can use a single pole double throw switch with center off hook a wire to each outer lug and the hot wire from the power cord to the center lug of the switch
