Ok, tried that screw in a 150 different variations. No luck. I have the air filter back on.
Any chance you could do a Google hangouts or Skype? Long shot but worth asking.

Being a farm boy I can tell you it was NOT A BACKFIRE. Just the sound and feeling of the noise against my finger. Apparently I'm a wuss.
I'm inclined to believe it's more likely a weak spark (even though it looks the same as another 4 wheeler I put the same spark plug into.) Would that be coil or CDI?

The compression test scared me... blew my finger out of the hole with a loud boom noise. Otherwise I'm OK... test passed.

Permissions fixed. I set it as unlisted... I hate technology. Ha.
The spark plug is moist but not sopping wet either. Idea on dampness I should expect?

I understand this is a scooter forum but most of the searches I found about the motor came from this forum.
I'm a DIY kinda guy. I'm a network tech by trade so troubleshooting is my middle name. Motors, not my strong point. Hoping someone can point me in the right direction for getting this motor started.
Here is a video of what I'm talking about. Linhai 260 not starting:
I pulled the spark plug and stuck it in another ATV and it worked fine. The spark looks identical but the motor never turns over. I got it to run for 5-7 seconds the other day by pumping the throttle half a million times. One day the ATV just quit. No ryhme or reason.
I think someone will suggest adjusting the valves but before I get that far I would like to know if that is a symptom of what the video shows.
Here is to hoping I don't sound like and idiot. :-P
Thanks,
Craig
