I'll tell you tho i personally would go with a used Sym or Kymco,,i was actually looking at them and a new leftover Genuine Stella presented itself and i grabbed it,,,but i'm 6ft flat 190-200 lbs so it works for me,,,i think a Sym 300i would be perfect for you,,,plenty of stink to get you in trouble,,,if you want it

i agree with Jr on this one 150cc is too small for you,,250 is where i'd be looking,,,altho i did check out the df200 ,,,looks to be a decent scoot ,,and it has proper forks with an upper and lower triple clamps,,,,nice,,,

you may be able to pick up a generic solenoid at an auto parts store or garden center where they have parts for the smaller riding tractor type mowers,, should be very inexpensive

I must have missed the whole flat road thing,,,, geez even a scooter with a blownup mill will do 175-200 mph if you push it out of an airplane at 10,000 ft

it's a weird call for me,,,i think everyone should be licensed and insured,,,i would never buy a 4 stroke 50,,,too slow for this area where i live,,,,a 2 stroke maybe geez even my 150 is marginal on certain roads where it's 45 mph limit,,,everyone is going 60,,,,,for me i think a 100cc minimum with a transmission that you shift,,,,

california is a stickler for registering bikes and scoots,,,used ones i see on CL and ebay cheap,,they have to have 7500+ miles on them or you can't register them,,and also the new crate chinese scoots half of them are not carb approved (california air resourses board),,so you can buy all you want you just can't register them for the road,,,only just a few 2 strokes are carb approved,,and i fear older 2t vespas are going the way of the dodo so i've been shying away from them,,,if indeed i can get one thats carb approved,,,hell i'll buy one,,they're super cheap i'll take a chance
