I have a 2011 Jonway YY250T and the fan has stopped working. I got on my creeper, laid down next to the bike and reached my hand in through the front of the machine, on the right hand side, only to find a loose Black wire in there.
From what I have seen, Black wire is 12V supply - could it be that this wire (it has a largish round connector on the end - unlike ANOTHER black wire in the same area which has a plastic piece over the end of the wire - obviously NOT intended to be connected) is the supply wire for the fan? I was cut short in my efforts to trace things farther, besides, the system was rather warm and I didn't want to go exploring where I can't see and might burn something - like me, for example. Oh. And I do NOT want to take the plastics of the machine if I don't have to.

if it has a large eyelet on the end that is bare makes me think it is a ground that came lose Jr has alot of wiring diagrams in the tech section and it looks like you may need to pull some of the plastics off to find the problem

I have the same scoot, though mine is called a Roketa, and I have the same situation. After 1800 miles I have yet to find anything that DOESN'T work because of it. Everything on mine that's supposed to work -- gauges, lights, fan, clock, radio, turn signals/flashers, everything -- works normally. I'm guessing it's for some accessory that's not installed on that particular variant, though I can't imagine what that would be.
As to your fan problem, I know there's a "water temperature sending unit" involved somewhere under there, although my wiring diagram doesn't tell me where to find it. Either bad connection or burned out? If it were me my suspicions would start there, and I'd start looking for it on or near the radiator. On my Honda Helix service manual it appears to be on the lower right of the radiator, seen from the driver's position, though that may not be the case with our Chinese clones. Does your temperature GAUGE work?

Trace the wire back to where it is connected on the other end of it. But a wire like that sure sounds like a ground wire. Alleyoop

If you do trace it back, post the results here. It'll probably tell me where mine goes!

[replyingto=ellpee]ellpee[/replyingto]Yes, the temp gauge does work - in fact, that's what got me started on this quest to begin with. All of a sudden, I had no fan and the temp gauge would run just about to the top, especially on the highway. And when I got to my driveway, there would be no fan after the Kill Switch - which it otherwise almost always did. So I either have a loose wire, somewhere, or a bad connection, somewhere, or a bad fan (I KNOW where that is) or the thermostatic switch is fubar. Fuses are all good - so that's what I'm left with.

[replyingto=alleyoop]alleyoop[/replyingto]According to the electrical diagram, all the Black wire is hot wire - the only reason for that particular wire to NOT spark when touching the frame is that it is the downstream end of the connection from the Thermostatic switch. If I read my diagram aright.

you will need to pull the plastics off to see where the other end is connected and go from there

Generally with not too much trouble you can pull the top cover off of the gas tank radiator area and expose enough of the scooter to find this wire. Beats taking off all the plastics.
Sometimes the Chinese will use the black as a ground too and if the fan isn't working and you have one loose wire then this may be the problem? Also if this is the vertical engine black would be the hot wire going to the thermo couple from the fuse box.
