I have a MC54-250B and something doesn't seem right. Now, just so that you guys and gals go off on a tangent about the Carb or fuel issue, I have confirmed that I'm running just to the rich side by a wide band o2 sensor.

Now what I need your opinion about is that I can't seem to get by 250 past 6k rpms. Do you think that this might be due to to a rev limiter? Has anyone else experienced this as well?

I was thinking to upgrade to a performance coil and or CDI. Has anyone done such an act? If so, with what brand and what results?

I have the mc-54-250b, I was having issues loosing power at 50+, I replace the cdi and ignition coil and new spark plug. What a diference, now more power and scooting faster. I did buy the high perforance ones, just regular one at .motopartsmax.com" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">.motopartsmax.com

How many miles on it? Last time you adjusted the valves? I run about 60 MPH @ around 6500 rpm.

The valves were done less then a thousand miles ago.

I was running 6k at 65mph. I'm looking to get that extra bit of speed out of the engine so that I can hit that Max torque out of the engine..

Can the corona spring be to strong?
