Will do. I was hoping I wouldn't have to take the whole thing apart but probably will. Thanks JR

Is there a way to lube the speedometer cluster? When I first got this Tank 250 the speedometer pegged out once it started moving. Suddenly it started working correctly and now it's back to pegging out completely once I start moving. Also the odometer works fine but the tripometer gets hung up and then stops on various numbers. I pulled and lubed the cable but it there something else I can do? I know a lot of people put the bicycle computers on and that's an option but I'd love if the original would work.

So I picked up a 2007 Tank 250 that has been sitting since 2007, lol. It's got 250 miles on it and I got it running, runs pretty good until the below happens: Brake lights are on constant because the switches aren't seated to the mount. If I seat the switches completely, bike will no longer turn over Pull switches back out a little and BAM, starts and runs. I'm headed out to mess with it but if someone knows right off hand what the problem is I'll check back.

I'm Shane, I live in Tulsa, OK. My first scoot was a 1988 Yamaha Razz when I was 14. I had that thing apart and put back together many times ;D Then I moved to big bikes and didn't have another until 3 years ago, I bought a 1986 Honda Spree and rebuilt with my 14 yo daughter. Now I'm the new owner of a Tank 250, let the fun begin
