HI from a different forum..in research saw your posts re chinese reg/rect.. here's what I know from research and experiment. Chinese 5 wire regulator as I see it from the diagram. Pink and yellow are from the single phase alternator..these colors may vary Red directly to battery plus terminal and one side of the ign switch...nowhere else Green directly to battery neg and frame ground all the active devices are connected to the BLACK as a positive source ! ign, lts, horn, ins. Etc. but no positive there until >> When the ign sw is ON it connects the red to the black supplying plus to ign and everything else When the ign sw is off that circuit is open (and another set of contacts grounds the ign system). testing has shown that the regulators are of the cheap "shunt" design. that means if there isn't enough load on them like if battery is disconnected, they will try to "shunt" all excess current to ground and either burn the supply wires or the reg itself. hope this is of use..just can't find a really reliable schematic or pinout on these things
