My horn was intermittent and now it is inop. No voltage to the horn when button is pushed, fuses are ok. Do i need to replace the left handlebar complete switch assy? If so, how much plastic must be removed to do that? Thanks.

I went through the same thing with mine. I decided rather than spend hours trying to run down the problem, I would get a digital heat guage from e-bay, just cut a round hole somewhere in the dash, then I wired the fan up with a toggle switch. It runs so cool, I think I have turned the fan on once in two years! I suspect that I had wiring problems, and that can drive you crazy, if you let it. Enjoy your scoot.

Does anyone know of a taller windshield that will fit the jonway 250t? I am over 6'2" tall, and a windshield 2-3 inches taller would be nice.

A new CDI fixed it. I am waiting for a power outlet to show up, then I will start assembling all of the plastic. Sorry, can't figure out how to insert a pic of the manual choke.

I bought a jonway 250cc water cooled scooter last February. When I got it, the cooling fan did not work, heat guage did not work, and was not charging the battery. Also the electric choke was keeping the idle at 2000 rpm. I put a manual choke on it, and now it idles down properly. I found a ground wire that had paint under it and that solved the charging problems. I wired the cooling fan direct to battery with a toggle switch, which is almost never needed. I ordered a digital heat guage from e-bay, and now know the heat range of the engine. The last 500 miles or so, it would occasionally at highway speeds cut out like you would turn the switch off and back on. The last time I rode it, it got way worse, but slowing down entering town it ran all right. I ran it in my shop and parked it. Since then it will not start, not even with either. I changed the spark plug. I found the old plug had almost no gap. I was sure I had found the problem. I checked the new plug before I put it in and it was sparking. It has not started since, like I said, not even with either. Once in a while it would seem to want to start, but wouldn't take hold. This really has me baffled since it won't even run on starting fluid. I have all of the plastic off now and am hoping someone out there can give me a hint before I put all of the plastic back on. Also, if it sat for a couple of weeks, it would take starting fluid to get it started. Thanks, Mike
