My '08 Roketa 250 clone runs really fine up to 50mph or so until I get about 3-4mi from the house and it slowly starts to lose speed, sorta slowly bogs down. It didn't completely stall and still idled fine as I started to panic about how I'll get it home but then after a min or two will then go another mile or so and repeat the process. Seems like it's starving for fuel at hwy speeds so maybe a fuel pump starting to fail?
Is there a link with a few pics to replacing the OEM fuel pump or diaphragm and where to get parts? Any other thoughts on what it may be?
There are no other symptoms, avg engine temps, no odd noises.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Mike

Thanks, I wasn't having an issue with the fastener holding the sender into the tank, it was finding the room to actually get the whole unit up and out of the tank...... which happened last night. Hoo-rah.
For the sake of the next guy: After siphoning the tank nearly dry and removing the fuel and overflow tank lids, I loosened the two lower side skirts, removed the plastic center cover housing with the foot rests, removed the rt side tank support bar, and tank mounting bolts. Then slid the tank back as far as possible and tilted it to the rt which gave me barely enough room to twist the sender retainer clip and barely get the whole sender assembly out of the tank.
Luckily the sender and float looked perfect. My issue ended up being a sticky sender float hinge due to the pivot clip being pressed down a bit too far causing it to bind/stick. I slid a razor knife blade under it to back it up about .005 taking care to not allow too much slop. It now pivots up/down with ease and my faulty gauge is fixed.
Hope this helps the next guy that finds this site. Mike

New to me, used 2007 build Roketa 250 clone with 3300mi and a little quirk. I believe my fuel sender is hosed/broken/skunky. last night I spent 2hrs battling broken/stripped bolts and funky plastic panel connectors getting to a point I could even see the sender on the well embedded fuel tank under the front frame tube only to realize that the radiator may need to come out to remove the tank. I'd appreciate some some sage advice on how to free that sender without a complete tear down of my scooter. At this point I wish I had just reset the odometer on a fill-up and forget the sender but now I'm so far in I guess I'm committed. Advice welcome. Even if it's advice to button it back up and use the odometer. Thanks, Mike Pics: Scooter, tank, sender
