I'm hoping to final have a few brains to pick whenever I'm stuck in sticky situations with these old school scoots I bring back to life.
Currently I'm working on a 1967 Yamaha u5e Newport 50cc 2 stroke. If anyone out there has any knowledge of these simple complex monster, then by all means PM me . I have lots of question that I would love answered.
Thank you for your time!

What's going on everybody?. I have a 67 Newport u5e and have been struggling with fuel leaks at the petcock valve, and the carb floods VERY easy. I have rebuilt the carb three times now, and everything from the float to the small needle it pushes on to stop fuel from filling the reservoir all seem to be in great shape. I have all new hoses, clamps and gaskets. WHAT ELSE COULD BE HAPPENING here. The scoot has under 600 original miles and is in Mint condition. it was a one owner, and the guy owned a motor cycle shop and just used it to put around. I am REALLY wanting to ride it so any and all help is greatly appreciated.
also I changed the oil and just guesstimated on the capacity, does anyone know a definite oil level for this 50cc??
