Man another reason to be a member of this form thanks jr do you carry stators for this scooter it is the jcl with the linhia engine 2007 257cc as much as i hate to spend more money on this scooter i am going to do it to at least get my money back out of it. Replaced it already with a 2005 honda reflex which you and others have talked about what a difference in quality you can tell just by putting them next to each other.

jr I did the test on the charging, battery was at 1250 at start then managed to go to 1300 now this is with the lights off i am waiting to replace the baubles. When i did that test after charging the battery fully i did at one point get it up to 1400 and beyond a bit. I did check the wires to the stator and the wires all looked good but they did melt at the plastic connector when that got fried but i did cut the part out and it seems that all the way from that point to the point where they enter the stator they feel ply-able and not burned. Also i did not mention in the beginning post i did replace the rectifier which you helped me on.

Hope this will not be to long winded for this form but need to go back to beginning. Battery went dead and did the stupid thing of jumping it with a car and really got stupid started the car. Then discovered the plastic connection between the stator and rectifier got fried i mean really fried this is the one that has the 3 yellow wires and 3 others. With some advise from another form decided i needed to replace rectifier did that and things seemed to be ok until i felt the the ground wire coming off the rectifier and hot as it could be again advise told me to then check all wires for short and found not a real good ground wire to frame connection seem to have a poor connection took care of that but no help. Now what i am finding is the two of the three wires out of the stator get hot along with the ground wire out of the rectifier going to the main ground wire still getting hot and two of the yellow wires out of the rectifier are warm to hot. Every thing works fan, engine starts, lights, front and rear i mean everything remote start, alarm. Checked everything up front do not see any broken or pinched wires. One thing i have noticed that the main ground wire that runs from front to back only is grounded to the fram by one off shoot smaller ground wire but that is how it was before the problem. came up and scooter worked well and still does. thanks in advance

:|john thanks what pleasant find this web site is going to be i have been fussing over this for a week asking all the scooter repair people i could find with no luck. Was afraid i was going to blow the new rectifier up. The red and green and black wires had a quick connect on them. Red to white green to green and black to black is that right.
