Thanks Alleyoop. Yes I find the 17inch wheels a good compromise between bike and scooter. The speedometer/odometer is calibrated in Kilometers. It says mph on the dial face, but it lies I find that a Schwinn bicycle speedometer is a great low dollar solution for speed/distance and even time information. Don't see why it couldn't be used on scooter wheels also. Just requires a magnet on the front wheel and a bit of calibration. Ride Safe!

I live in a small town in central Missouri. I've been a motorcycle rider off and on for most of my life but had been away from them for awhile. Got the urge again and decided on a Cub clone that I saw on the internet. A Bashan MC 114 on some sites, but also sold under other names. I initially had a hard time getting used to the auto clutch, the 4 down shift pattern and the lack of power (49cc). Finally after trying it out for awhile I decided to make a few improvements. Well, you know how that sometimes works out. I wound up replacing the entire powerplant with a unit intended for pit bikes. Now I have a little bike that is really enjoyable to ride! Manual clutch, 1 down 3 up shift pattern that I'm used to and a bit more power to compensate for my size. I doubt that anyone will care much since the town speed limit is 30 so I rarely exceed that. Other than a clutch lever it doesn't look any different than before. If this bike has some of that famous Honda durability in it's clone form I believe I'm going to like it.
