Hello,
How active is this site as prior posts I looked at before registering seem old. You asked for me to inform my scooter and a little about myself. So Here I go.
I have a 2013 Tao Tao 50 Silver Chinese scooter bought in 11/2012 I have 26,853.4 kl on it. many of these threads I have experienced as well self repaired. however I have changed a lot on my scooter. as my 50 is actually a 150cc now. a lot of tricks, help and well my tomboyish mechanical skills was able to do mods myself. had welding ads to frame, biiger rims and tires, added custom mods for durability as well most of all safety. While keeping look as stock. I am surprised at a lot of very technical responses on mods over hardly enough power to start (I experienced) but all I did was mod the battery area and added inline fuses as well a larger motorcycle battery hence reason for biggers rims and tire over deeper battery tray area.
I do everything on my scooter as it is my only means to travel. Thus as well over my mods and current means of travel I will say in Southeast region of USA. As well for those taking on mods I sure hope they keep their own safety in mind. As upon if I ever have to retire my scoter well it will just be garaged and never sold. Due specifically to safety.
As well wanted to mention for those doing mods and search there are nos kits for scooters however mo0tor life will be short lived. I tried this over the slow bog down on up hill travel roads and the slow down.
as well for those doing mods for larger braces for engine size and pictures I have seen cleaner the weld stronger the weld a big safety concern for you all.
Regardless of the brand or price of scooter READ owners manual and suggested check points to do. electrical, start not start runs but dies upon throttle? over time you have to check connectors, tension on screws and bolts ensuring long life of your scooter. Just getting on and ride will be short life as well possible injury to one's self.
The heat weather is near, as well where I am at scooter clubs, as well more notice of riders growing I know scooter will be around for quite along time as means of transportation and service as well to some city areas as many Chinese food, pizza etc started using near me. Plus I am saving to soon establish my own distributor dealership which hopefully by summer.
well that's all for now.
