so I used a pair of long nose pliers to try and adjust the air/fuel screw the first time I did it the carb worked fine it didn't stall when I first turned it on but it did when I turned the throttle and let it go it bogged down and stalled but after I got the new battery so now it starts but the carb stalls out when I first start it after a few minutes it boggs down and stalls and it still stalls when I use the throttle so I went and re adjusted the carb but now it just doesn't seem to do anything also I just note we had a warm day and that's when it started stalling again

It has about 530km on it its only 3 months old and I have not done a valve adjustment because I didn't think it would need one already do you know what the symptoms would be for needing a valve adjustment. For the needing more gas that's what I thought which is why I drilled out the plug it does have half of the head cut of so I will try to get a pair of long nose pliers and do what u suggested thanks for letting me know that it can still be adjusted because I thought it was a lost cause when I did not see a screw

I have a taotao atm50 a1 it was fine during the warm months but now that's it cold out I been having problems the 1st problem is when I start the scooter the idle runs high for the 1st min then after when the idle comes down it bogs down and stalls out also when Im driving and come to a stop or right before Im about to go again it stalls it starts right back up usually but I have to hold the starter button for at least 10-20 seconds to get it to start I already drilled out the cover to the air/fuel mixture screw the only problem is under that was not a screw so I cant adjust it the second problem is its been hard to start so I figured its the battery because I already replaced the spark plug when I try to start it clicks twice then stops clicking when I kick start it now it takes at least 5-10 try's to get it started also to note the starting problem is only when the scooter is cooled down for a few hours so if any one can help me figure out the problems it would help a lot |
