Putting new rubber on your scoot will definately make it ride better. Theres lots of nice scooter tires out there. The sponsors on this site are great for just about anything but look to Motorcycle-superstore, JcWhitney, DennisKirk etc for some good brand tires. The stockers will get the job done but some of the Big brands ride better and handle much better. I dont like Dunlop much since my experience has been bad wear patterns and lackluster grip. Heck I would take a china tire over a Dunlop. My personal preference is best to worst from personal experience (keep in mind a lot of these tires are on M/c) Pirelli, Avon,Bridgestone, Kenda, Chen/china tires, Dunlop. I havent tried Shinko yet.

I'm sure you can find a car tire that will fit but unless you plan to do 30k miles a year its just not worth doing. It will ride rough and track any odd groove in the road and your scoots probably not heavy enough to make the flat shaped tire flex when making a turn. YOu can always over inflate it so it will be a bit more round but then your gonna feel every lil bump or rock in the road and might be a nasty blowout if you hit something thats a bit too sharp. Theres plenty of good scoot tires out there that will give you decent wear/tread life for the money. Plus its a lot easier to spoon on/off a scoot tire than it is a car tire.

Yeah I had to sell them last year when me n the ex split so I would have the money for the apt deposit. Just about time we finally worked thru her gambling problem she decided she needed a boyfriend so I had enough. The good news is she is now an ex-wife. I tried to use the VLX but couldnt stand looking at it so I sold it cheap to buy a lil 200cc supermotard from Cookies over on the other board. Then I sold it to buy the Buell Blast. It was such a good deal I couldnt pass it up. So I been riding it since late winter/early spring. Heres a pic. So I been dating this young lady, well younger than me anyway. She either wants to learn to ride or wants me to get a bigger bike so I bought this lil scoot for her to learn on and to see if she wants her own ride. The person I bought it from upgraded to a 250 kymco about 2 yrs ago so I guess its been sitting for nearly that long. I brought it home this weekend. The previous owner said she put seafoam in the fuel before she parked it so yesterday I hooked a jump pack to it and gave it a few spins and it fired up. When I got home a few mins ago I decided to see if it would kick start and it started after a couple kicks so I guess thats a good start. It idles rough as expected with 2yr old fuel and probably a lil gumming in the small jet. Ill give it a good once over this weekend so I know what to order and then I should have it up and running by the end of the month. So now your all caught up with Zugs adventures. Heres the only pic I have right now.
