justbuggin2, I did not push to see what top speed was, as it is brand new ( not properly broken in) and it is not mine. BUT I can tell you that it goes from 0 to 80mph pretty quickly! As to the handling, the big 16" wheels make a huge difference on the highway. seat is great and footwell is adequate. Very smooth runner with the EFI...

Well, folks, I just returned from an initial test ride on the all new Kymco People GT 300i, which is a 298cc, EFI, liquid cooled road machine! The seat is VERY comfortable and the thing has more than ample power. The power curve is very smooth and the feel is very solid and "planted" on the street. LED rear turn signals and LED front running lights really look sharp and modern. Nice dash layout with analog speedo and digital "multi" gage below. At an MSRP of $5399 along with the current finance offer of 1.9% for 36 months, this is sure to be a sweet commuter for many scooterists!! ;D Attachments:

Does anyone out there know the factory correct size requirement for the CVT drive belt on a 2008 Lance Duke 250 Touring scooter with the CF250 Hodna-clone type engine with long case? I know that it is a xxx-22.5-30, but have seen the length number quoted as everything from a 828 to a 918. Would like to replace with a "factory correct" length size before I make any more tweeks to the drive line... The belt that was on when I bought it was not original, but was a 906, I currently have on a 918. Most of what I find indicates a 828, but that seems way too short ?!?!?!? Thanks in advance for the input,

Welcome Ottosear, glad to hear from another Wisconsonite. I too am a "scooter-commuter" but only do about 30 miles round trip. I'm over by the twin cities area and ride a chinese 250cc liquid cooled scoot. Can't agree more on the body-panel trials... but what ya gonna do? I try to ride at least once per month, year round, altho at about 15 degrees, even I question my sanity! Again, welcome and if I can help with anything, let me know. Jeepmaster322

Hi again, thanks for the welcome comments..... Here are a couple pix of my ride. She's gotta CDI upgrade as well as a K&N filter, performance pipe, and Dr. Pulley variator sliders with a kevlar belt. Some "luggage" upgrades for utility and a GPS mount for trips. Oh, and a lighting/charging system upgrade for night time. Currently at just over 4500 miles, easily does 75mph and averages 67MPG. Name's Randy, but you will all know me as Jeepmaster322. the screen name describes my other passion, but this is a scooter forum, so...... I am an avid rider, who lives in Western WI. By avid, I mean that I ride all year round, yes even in the cold, snowy midwestern winters. If there is a day when the roads are bare, I will get in a few miles. Some call me crazy ( my wife ) but if ya dress for it, no prob. I ride a modded 250cc Chinese toring scooter made by Znen. Have been riding for years and perfer scooters to motorcycles, most days. Hope to share info on this site with fellow enthusiasts. Ride-on...
