Hello everyone!
I've been looking around the interwebs for information on which cheap scooter to buy, and where to get one. I think my head is spinning! I thought the biggest issue on selecting a size was between a 250cc or 260cc. Now I've read a little more here, and see that there are even more options on engines!
I am hoping to get educated enough to make an intelligent decision on a purchase. Basically, I am planning on riding a scooter primarily to work to save on gas. My trip is about 35 miles one way, with most of it on 55mph roads. I like the Roketa MC54 250B, MC 68A, MC79, and the Tank Touring 260. I've seen these models on different websites. I've also seen some good and bad reviews on different web vendors, and hope to learn which ones to stay away from, and which ones to trust.

Hello Mike! glad you are here and hope we can all help with your decision. Now since I've been to the great Peach State of Georgia a lot I know it has one thing in common with Arkansas, hot, hot summers!
In this economy saving gas and taking the wear and tear off of your auto with an affordable and cheap to ride scooter is smart and economical. While lots of people want a 150 and like to play and mod one to do better on speed somewhat myself knowing that you're going to be putting around 70 to 100 miles a day on one and again running in very hot temps in the summer I would lean to the 250 class and water cooled for longetivity and a little more power up hills and for passing.
Yes there are good dealers and bad ones and we'll all be glad to offer some opinions, advice and reviews of what our members know about any scooter you may be thinking of buying so feel free to ask away about any of them. Also you might want to keep an eye on Craigslist, sometimes one can find a heck of a deal there!
Again we're glad you found us and we hope you join in on the fun!
