Actually one can put a unifilter right in the air filter housing on the 250 A and B, just remove the foam and you can buy one that will hook up nicely right inside the box, real nice and gives it added protection.
Got a picture somewhere give me a little time and I'll find it.

As always some of the above vendors will have them and also ebay. Pull the cover off of the air filter box, remove the foam filter and you'll see the air intake pipe in the box, measure the od and then order a unifilter, doesn't have to be exact as one can clamp it down tight with the clamp. This one was installed and then sprayed with a light coat of K/N filter oil, which can be cleaned with K/N filter cleaner and hot water. They sell both in a kit at your auto parts store, great filter system. JR

Yes, I have been trying to get info on which K&N Filter to use on my Linhai engine air box. I believe it will have to be slightly angled to fit in the air box. Anyone have the K&N part number ??

Foam Filters are easy to clean just use dishwater detergent and warm water to cut through the OIL and Dirt, using just water will not clean it. Think about it how do you clean your cooking pans if you used grease or oil to cook. Water will not take the oil or grease off the pan. Geezzzzzzzzzzzzzz do I have to teach everyone how to clean their pans also Alleyoop

Hi alleyoop, I just remember the time I was having trouble bogging after I cleaned my air filter with hot soapy water, someone on another forum said that cleaning it that way was a no, no that I should of used kerosene, or some sort of carb cleaner, so I thought to ask the question.

ANOTHER FORUM!! SAY WHAT, I bet it was the DAWGS POUND that said to use Kerosene or Carb Cleaner to clean a foam filter and NOT SOAP and HOT WATER. Hate to say it but SD is mostly young school folks and their 50cc 4 strokes and 50cc 2 strokes they know nothing about 150s and especially any scoot that is water cooled which are mostly 250s and up. So if someone is on there asking for help on a 250+ scoot or Trike or overheating and it is water cooled that person is on the wrong forum trying to get the correct help and solution and or what and how-to.
As far as Cleaning any Foam Filter Just remember washing your car with a chamois and or sponge what did you use Soap and Water and remember how you cleaned them and squeezed them out with the water to get all the soap out and let them dry for the next time.
On most scoots the Valve Vent Hose will be connected to the AIR BOX and at lot of the times oil gets squirted out for whatever reason, overilling to much pressure etc.. and the Foam Filter will get full of oil and restrict the Air. When that happens the first thing people do is complain about bogging hard starts loss of power etc.. then they start messing with things to compensate for the clogged air filter. Or they go and change it out for a Free Flow then they really mess up the Fuel Ratio Mixture.
my .02 on the Dawg Pound they are not the sharpest knifes in the drawer mainly because they are young and still have a lot to learn. Alleyoop
