I installed a new P30L carb on my JCL MP250A and it wasn't that bad except that the idle screw is horizontal facing the rear of the carb instead of vertical like the old one. It's always something...
After cranking it for quite a long time, it finally started. Mix set at 2.75 turns out. It idled right up to normal and when the enricher kicked off, you couldn't tell the slightest stumble.
When I cracked the throttle open, there was a slight hesitation and it revved up like no ones business.
I let it idle for about 15 minutes and it sounded nice and steady. First nice day and I will take it out on the road.

Here is it one day later after changing the carb and something troubled me about the throttle cable where it attaches to the carb bracket. When I got home today, I took it off and spread loctite on the threads and retightened it. If that would have let loose due to vibration with my precious arse aboard, I might end up with road rash or worse.
Anyway, that being done, I turned the key and hit the starter and it started on half a flip and went right up to high idle at 2,000rpm. Not bad for sitting 24 hours!
Life is good. ;D
