Ok I'm an idiot tried something I saw on Youtube and now I'm screwed! I have a GY6 150cc chinese piece of crap that was running fine until I decided to add a panel with voltmeter, 2 usb ports, a cigarette lighter socket and an off/on switch. I followed instructions on Youtube and piggybacked the power wire on the black wire coming from the ignition then wired the four components as per the wiring diagram. Everything seemed to work OK except it appeared the off/on switch was operating the wrong way and so I switched the ground and power wire that went to first component around. Then it stopped working but worse when I tried to start the bike it would start and then the 1 amp fuse from the battery blew but the bike kept running. So I replaced it and it blew again and again and again. Tried a 2 amp same thing and I went through a dozen fuses. I removed all of my new wiring so the bike was back to the way it was but the fuse keeps blowing. I have checked the wiring no signs of a short or melted wires so now I believe it could be one of two things the regulator/rectifier or the stator. Am I barking up the wrong tree? Can I test the regulator/rectifier to see if it is fried? I'm at a loss and so is my retired electrician friend. I have learned one lesson... don't watch youtube videos. Please help.

Ok it appears the original fuse should have been 10amps not 1 amp. No problem with a 10 amp, works fine.
