I have bought a non-starter Longjia LJ50QT-K in the hope I can get it running. Initial problem- NO SPARK. Having looked at the Stator it was a right mess. no wires were attached, stator bolts were not tight and back plate was wrecked(this may not be the only issue, previous owner may have just given up and threw it back together?) so I have replaced it. Only thing is I couldn't find the right one for bike with the backplate in the timeframe I wanted, so I found this one here which is for the same engine but didn't list the LJ50QT-K. However it fitted correctly looked exactly the same and has the same wires that were on the old one. 3 Pin + 2 Wires(Blu/Wht & Red/Blk). Test done so far...(I'm jumping from car Battery- not started) GND(Frame) to BLK/WHT wire in 2pin plug to CDI = Continuity when IGN off / No Continuty when IGN on (GOOD?) No voltage at CDI when IGN is on so must be AC CDI? GND(Frame) to RED/BLK other wire 2pin plug to CDI from Stator = 0Vac when IGN on, and 80Vac when turning over engine GND(Frame) to BLU/WHT wire (pickup) = 0.7Vac when turning over engine Voltage to coil while turning over is about 18v is this good? is this correct so far? Help much appreciated.
