Hi Troops, As you can see on my Trike I have a VIP TRUNK with LED Lights.
The two red lens on each side are Turn Signals. The Spoiler has TWO functions one Running Lights that Light up 2 at a time from Center to the outside as your riding. When you Press the Brake they stop the moving from center to the side and all come on and stay on with the Brake applied.
Ok it is controlled by a little Control Board and the Spoiler lights have gone out on me. I have juice going to the board from the Brake and Running lights.
I took the damn thing off and took it to radioshack and he looked at the little board and said here is your problem. On the board the circuit that feeds the Spoiler is right on the edge of the board and part of the circuit was damaged. He checked continuity and sure enough none going to pins for the Spoiler. He cut me a piece of wire and told me to Solder a s piece of wire from an existing solder point on that circuit to where the circuit tied into the connector. I did but still nothing the lights do not come on the spoiler.
I have GOOGLED for the VIP CONTROL BOARD for this Trunk with no luck. I found one but they only sell them to people that BOUGHT THE TRUNK from them???
If anyone has a clue I would appriecate it. If you want i can take a picture of the Setup. Not a problem I have taken the damn thing off many times already. Alleyoop

Hi Troops, I found a site that has some neat stuff and I think I found the solution to get the Spoiler Leds working again. I just ordered a Dual Intensity Circuit wireing $4.99+$4.99 shipping and will give that a shot, I have nothing to loose since they do not appear to sell the Circuit Boards. I found while googleing that it is a common ocurrence on that TRUNK that the Spoiler Circuit goes south. I will update with the results. Alleyoop Here is what I got, also they have a lot of LED items and controllers. .chromeglow.com/catalog.asp?prodid=520657" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">.chromeglow.com/catalog.asp?prodid=520657

AO, how is the room in that trunk and how did you mount it. I am thinking of getting one of those for my Yamaha Majesty in preperation for some spring riding.

It comes with a universal mount, 4 screws go through the Trunk from the inside down and through the mount. I first lined up the mount and trunk where I wanted it centered on the rear rack that is medal on mine. Then I had to drill two new holes through my rear rack because it would not line up right through the open rails of my rack only two holes would line up. Then I mounted the rack then put the trunk on the mount and bolted that down. I then made a 1/2 hole on the bottom toward the front of the trunk to run the wires through. I then got quit connectors and hooked them up to my lights and ran the wires up through the hole I made in the trunk and put female plug in connectors on those wires because the trunk comes with Male plug in connectors. John, thanks for the offer to fix the board that controls the sequential leds on the spoiler of the trunk. But I ordered 2 91/2 inch stripes of LEDs and the splitter and I REWIRED it as they say. I now have running lights and stop light on the Trunk spoiler. It does not sequence from center out but the spoiler leds are all on with the running lights and they get really BRIGHT when I brake so all is good. Thanks anyways bud, I will keep you in mind if I run into some electrical issues that I cannot get to work. You and your family Have a Great Xmas and a prosperous and healthy new year Alleyoop
