You'n'me. It'd be nice if one of the Japanese companies were offering good-quality trikes, but failing that, the Ryker seems like one's only option. Doofy-looking thing, though....

Just to keep this tale of woe up to date: Magnum died completely on a ride a few weeks ago, would crank but wouldn't start, had to trailer it back to Mr. Fixit, and this time it needs a stator to the tune of about $200 plus labor. The gift that keeps on giving. I'll have to sell it for $2000 just to cover all the repair costs, and that's not likely.

Magnum still sitting at the fixit shop, where it is clearly not his top priority, to put it mildly. Part has arrived, not sure if it's the right one until he takes the old one out. Meanwhile, there's an almost new Ryker (<3000 miles) on local Craigslist, excellent price, VE-E-ERY tempted.

Grab that bad boy!!!! You're not getting any younger or better lookin I might add,,,just sold off all my all my 2 wheelers over the last 2 weeks I've been thinking about what we've been talking about,,I may pull the trigger on one myself

Mr Fixit still dragging his feet on the Magnum, so I'm walking away from it mentally; if he ever gets around to fixing the stator problem, fine, if not, don't care. Going to look at the used Ryker in the next week or so, hope it checks out A-OK, if so I'll be riding again soon.

Magnum finally out of the shop, starts and runs okay in neutral and up to about 40 mhp, then starts missing. Muffler not connected yet, hope that resolves the missing; also need to reinstall some front plastics correctly, Mr Fixit did not do so. New speedometer sensor appears to give more accurate readings, small silver lining. Will do the minor stuff, then it goes on Craigslist.

Wise decision,,,offload that turkey,,,great buy on that ryker,,,I must admit I'm a little jealous,,,and as a side note that Ryder will do 110-120 if it's not restricted ,,,you won't miss the magnum one bit,,,now it'll be 80-100 mile trips without the worry and sh1ting your pants wondering if you're going to get where you planned and getting back home
