I have a ‘08 TBX 260 and the stock headlights are not working. I’ve tried everything I can think of to get them to work, to no avail. I was speaking to a scooter shop locally and they suggested just adding a 7” round headlight (from a Harley or something) into the front cowling and running a separate switch. Anybody know how I could go about this and/or the difficulty?

Should be pretty straight forward ,,you'd need a two way switch the kind that has 3 positions one for high beam one for off and one for low beam,,,you need to run a hot 12 volt from the battery to the switch then two wires to the new lamp and then a ground from the lamp to a good frame mount making sure the terminal is nice and clean so there's a good connection ,,,2-3 hours work I'd imagine even for a rooky,,,check the library section there has to be a section on adding lights
