Get it going again then the minute it dies open the fuel tank cap to see if air rushes into the tank if it does there's a fuel tank venting issue,,,,take a VERY SMALL drill and make a hole in the cap,,,that will cure the venting problem

Hi ,i have tried the tank cap but still stops ,if i connect the fuel pipes one way it will start but revs up high for about one minute if i then change the pipes it starts and will tick over and seems ok but then stops after about two minutes then will not start again unless i change the pipes again

It seems to have a fuel delivery problem and by the sounds of the symptoms it's in the carb ,,,but just for fun pull the vacuum line to the auto petcock where it's attached to the intake manifold and see if it's wet with fuel

Pull the fuel line from the in side of the pump and then the manifold vac line and draw vacuum on it to see if the fuel flows
