Ive got a baotian 125 it needed a new loom so I brought a new one but could only find a loom for a 50cc. I was told it could still be used but im struggling to match the wires. I already know that some connectors will need changing but some wires are completely different colours on the scooter and loom. Ive managed to get indicators, break lights, back light and horn working. I believe the ignition is working as the lights dont work while the ignition is turned off.
If anyone is a wiring genius and could help me solve the other wires and get it running it would be really appriciated. Thanks in advance.

devil8990 I need a little help here. I'm sure what you call a loom is the same as what we call differently here? Are you wanting a diagram or info on a part to wire up? Pictures are most helpful. JR

I've tried diagrams but failed miserably. Just after any help with the remaining wires if possible. I need help with the electric start and kill switch, the wires for the head lights don't match, I seem to have more wires on the bike than the loom/harness. I can post pics in the morning.

Pic 1- wires coming from left column. Unsure of the red/white and white wire.
Pic 2- no clue what the pink wire is for. Located near the battery.
Pic 3- right column red/white not connected unsure of what they are for.
Pic 4 & 5- right hand column wires don't match the harness. Do I just remove the connector and match the colours??
Pic 6- is my rectifier regulator wired correctly. Would pink wire go to white? And what's the spare black wire?
Pic 7- ignition, what's the spare green wire?
Pic 8- is my CDI correct?
Pic 9- located near the ignition but unsure what it's for.
I've got lots more pics but that probably enough for now. If you need more info or better pics I can get them. Thanks for any help

#1 Red/White is generally a wire that comes off of the key switch and /or engine run/off switch. It would go to the CDI so when the key is in the off position it grounds out the CDI thus killing the engine. It may go only to the key switch or engine kill switch or split and go to both. Is this a original wire on the old part of the harness? If so then trace it out so we can be sure. White can be to a lot of things including headlights, again is this part of the original harness?
#2 I'm assuming the pink is part of the new harness you bought? Pink is generally a accessory wire like to a tach? Where does it come out at the other end?
#3 Same as answer on number 1 is generally a kill wire to the CDI. Is this the same wire as #1 and just the other end? Can you use a meter to check it out using the ohm function of the meter?
#4 &5 $ looks like the CDI plug according to the number of wires and colors. 5 looks like start button wires and other things? Can you tell me all the colors, hard to tell in the pictures?
#6 pink would go to white if whites goes to the engine stator? Black is generally a 12Vdc wire from the key switch and is hot only with the key on. Is the R/R original or a new one?
#7 Green is always ground or at least that color green and runs to a variety of things including the key switch.
#8 Part of it looks correct but you asked about the pink wire, is the 4 plug got a pink wire? I need to know those colors for sure hard to tell with picture.
#9 Possibly a alarm wire plugin?

Sorry its been a few days things have been crazy.
1. Red/white wire out of left handle bar column is on the old harness. I tried to trace it on the old harness but its been cut about 5 inches from the connector. As its coming from the left column could it be just for lights as white and brown/white goes to the head lights and I also nees to find a blue wire that goes to the head lights too.
2. The only place I can see another pink wire on the new harness is the one thats wired to my cdi.
3. No this wire comes from the electric start button. The wire has been changed to a red/white but by the looks of it inside the column it was originally orange.
4 & 5. 4 is where 5 connects, 5 is all the electrics for the right column. Yellow/red, green, black/white, red/white, green/white, black, brown/white and brown.
6. Yes white goes to the stator. Its a new r/r but its exactly the same as the old one on the bike. What should I do with the black?
7. Does that mean my ignition has 2 ground wires?
8. This is my cdi wiring. Top of 2 pin connector is red/black. The bottom is black/white. On the 4 pin connector top left is green/white, underneath is black/yellow, bottom right is blue/yellow and top right is pink.
9. I thought the same.
Thanks for your help.

If it goes to the left side it is one of three things, headlight feed to the dimmer switch, horn or blinker. Only way to know for sure is to open the switch assembly on the left side and see if it is there is indeed a red/white wire? You got to remember you are trying to make 50cc harness work on a 150cc scooter so this pink is a odd color on the CDI and here is the location and normal colors on a CDI: So in this case if you look closely at the pin out in the image you will see the black/red, blue/yellow and the black/white are wired correctly on your CDI in your picture. The green/white and the pink even though 99% of all ground wires are green need to be hooked up to the battery negative and if green in your harness is actually a ground wire then they both need to hook into it. Wires are as follows: Black/red = AC feed from stator to CDI Blue/Yellow = pulse coil feed wire to CDI Black/white = engine kill wire from key switch and engine on/off switch on the right handle bar. As I stated the Green/white and Pink will need to be grounded. Do you own a multi-meter with the ohms function? If so do you know how to check wiring with the ohms setting? If so you can easily verify the pink wire on the CDI is the same loose pink wire on your harness by the battery. In fact one can verify any wire from one end to the other. Ok if this is the case then it will go to the yellow/red on the starter solenoid relay and if it comes from the start button the other wire to the start button has to be a ground wire. Yellow/red = start button wire going to the starter solenoid relay Green = ground Black/white = engine kill wire going to the CDI, it may splice into the same color wire from the key switch The other 3 I am not sure but will ask this? Does this scooter have a on/off headlight switch and a dimmer switch or just a dimmer switch? White will be the head/tail light feed wire and these lights should only work with the engine running. Black should be a 12Vdc wire with the key on, do nothing with it unless you plan on adding a accessory? Some do. Already answered the CDI pin out.
