Just bought this scooter and I'm newish to the scooter world so that being said...I would like to know a cheap fix for stripped out threads in the exhaust stud holes on the cylinder head.I have j.b.weld , quick steel. Aluminum welding/brazing rods. Any help is appreciated .

You can get a helicoil kit at any auto parts store ,,,just take your loose stud with you and get the set that is the same thread have to drill and tap the hole and install the steel insert,,,or Drill out the hole the very next size up,,,being careful to not go too big,,,,tap it to thread the hole. Get studs to install in newly threaded holes or in a pinch you can use short bolts with washers but only as a temporary fix ,,,don't want to keep running bolts in and out of the head,,,you may have to drill out the exhaust flange a bit,reassemble,,presto you be done

I had a similar problem with my tyre specialist who stripped a thread in the head when changing winter to summer tyres. I carefully tapped out the next size up and had to grind 1mm in the flange.
