Hey JR and other scooterists and ATV handlers--we got a problem--our Cat got wet ( Artic Cat 500)and now it be slipping-seem like when it got under water it got a little wet ,but ran good after it dried out,for awhile but now is is getting slippy ----jerky---belt seems to be too long or something is causing it to slip --got any ideas how to fix this /--thanks in advance ,fflintstone--happy trails

I would open it up check belt and clutch pads and clean out all the system guess work won't work need to open and do a good inspection of parts.

We have opened it up but I don't know what is next,since I am a 2 wheeler rider usually --the belt seems ok ,but something is causing the clutch to engage too slow--we need to look inside I guess-thanks,crwford

Then look at clutch springs maybe stronger would be better on that my be some one that does improvement like JR myself I do try to stay stock as much as possibly.

Thanks crwford--we will clean it up and see if it helps--didn't do anything today--probably tomorrow--been kinda stormy here on and off so it has been touch and go with outside work--I will let ya know what happened --it did smell like the belt got hot --happy trails,ffintstone
