OK and thanks Cyborg. Too bad I just filled the tank with new gas and more SeaFoam.
Monday I had my right eye surgically fixed and per my surgeon and his helpers I am to not do deep bends from he waist or any stressful things for at least a week. So about all I will do for now is go out and start the engine each day to see if running the SeaFoam will help the carb to stay clean or get clean.
Next week I will try to see the bottom and the screen. If it looks bad then I will have to figure out how to take the tank out and get the screen cleaned. More gas to get rid of again. Is it possible to fix inside or is it time to buy a new tank?

It has been 11 days since my last post. Been running the wife around to doctors for tests. I had my right eye surgery a week ago too. Also a bit cool for hanging around in the garage lately. So maybe next year will be my winning year,
Merry Christmas to all of you. Believers or not.
You can always find time to have a good day or two.

Happy New Year to all.
Now a question. I have not done much lately on my scoot. Go out every day and run it for a few minutes, if it will run, and keep trying to get the engine to run steady or idle at less than 2000 rpm. It has a tendency to run well at speeds but then shuts down to a low idle level and quits.
Fuel pump? Wondering if so and need to prove it is OK or replace it. Can a fuel pump be opened up and then put back together successfully, or is it just a disposable item?
To buy one I have looked into many places on the web. Find many that look similar to mine but none the same. Find them from $5 to near $70. A couple in the $12 to $15 dollar range that are very similar in looks, claim to be OK for just about any size scoot.
Should I just gamble on one of the lower cost ones? Not excited about buying one of the $30 or $60 ones and find they were not the problem anyway.
Can I open and then close the fuel pump?

OK, not many answers to my questions so I just gambled and ordered a new fuel pump. Had real good response from this particular supplier so will say some words about him. I decided to go above those $5 dollar one on those web stores. So I was willing to pay $15.61 for a new pump that was posted as being good for a range of scooter from 50cc on up to 250cc and including Roketa and Jonway which sound much like names I have found on my scooter and title work.
Ordered about 1 pm on 4 January 2016. Had an email on 1:30 pm on 4
Jan that said they had my part at $15.61 plus $3.95 shipping = $19.56. On 5 January I receive another email and said it had shipped and they provided a postal tracking link. 3:30 Jan 5 the order was picked up. Today on 7 January I found the package in my mail.
Amazing how fast this provider and the mail worked.
Everest Parts Supplies
They are located in Sarasota Florida and I live south of Phoenix Arizona. Quite a long trip, over 2,000 miles in a couple days.
I have not tried it yet and may not till sometime next week. It is not running well yet but better than in the past months. I have replace many things, tried different ideas. It will start and run longer than before, sometimes for minutes at a time. Enough to heat the engine. But it runs at varying speeds and sometimes at 3,000 rpm or 2,000 rpm, but then drops down below 1,000 rpm and suddenly stops. It sometimes picks itself back up from the very low numbers and goes back into the higher ranges before slowing and stalling. One suggestion was a partially messed up, dirty, fuel pump. So I will try that now. If it works then I will be able to end my long and confused inputs.
Thanks for the inputs.

Thanks cyborg, so long now that it has turned into my hobby. It sits in my garage till I have some spare moments and I go out, change something and try again. Getting better little by little, but still something not right. If this works I can start putting all the covers back on and go for a ride.

Fuel pump wrong mounting hole locations. Returned and waiting for a response from the store owners. Hopefully this coming Monday. If they can not meet my requirements then I go somewhere else and try again.
They really are fast and always someone to take my calls. I consider them to be a good company. Wish they did have basic dimensions, mounting hole centers, on the drawings.
I really don't think brand name is most important as long as it does the job.
