Hi guys, I have some questions about fork oil replacement for my GY6 150cc R16 scooter: • How frequently should it be replaced • What oil is appropriate • How much oil Is there anyone that can help me with this? I will appreciate it very much.

Thanks cyborg. Do you know the recommended frequency of replacement and how to determine the volume of oil needed. My scooter manual doesn't say a word about it

Depends on how hard you ride and how many miles you rackup,,, I generally change mine every two years regardless of how many miles I've ridden it,, I have multiple bikes and I split riding between them,,, I've had as many as eight all restorodded on the road at once so some got more miles than others ,,, my rule of thumb is every two years or 5000 miles whichever comes first,,, and use QUALITY oils ,,, not the cheap crap,,, quality fluids are the key to better performance and longevity,,,a buddy and I tore down his yoshimura prepped gsxr1000 after 50,000 miles ,,, one valve was out .001inch,, that was it,,, after inspection and measuring everything there was no detectable wear anywhere,,,, it ran as new,,,a seriously fast machine,,, you pull the trigger on that thing and you are out of there in a big hurry,, pistonguy can relate I'm sure
