Been a very mild and good winter up to today. Saturday was 74F and nice, today got sleet, freezing rain and snow statewide. Right now here by the mountain, got about 1" of ice topped by sleet with it at a cool 25F, supposed to blow out by 6 this evening. Cold the rest of the week with rain back by next weekend. Yep winter finally hit.

This global warming is killing us --first tornadoes ,then floods, and now ice storms..we got some of the same here too JR,but my little hill is not as tall as yours-lol--first we got a quarter inch of ice then an inch of sleet, and since ,about 2 or 3 inches of freezing sleet on top ,with some of that hominy snow mixed in--looks like about 4 -5 inches altogether--and the stuff is glazed over, just what do you do for fun with that stuff? used to ,we made snow cream, but this stuff is not snow--bummer,,everybody hunker down,it will be gone by Sunday ,I think That stuff in New York and surrounding area is unreal

That snow you got must have gone south,JR,we never saw a bit here--it is cold, and the 3-4 inches of ice is impossible to get traction on.....I tried to walk to the street from my porch and couldn't find any place to step with sliding and wound up doing the old folks break dance and landed on my side and the trash bag I was trying to put out on the curb--reeeeeediculous trying to do anything out there....hope the neighbors didn't see that- heh

No Fflintstone , that snow went to the north of you and we are getting hammered again today . Just got interrupted , the neighbor just brought.t his tractor and cleaned out my drive , what a nice guy . Offered him money and he wouldn't take any . I'll do something for him soon . The Robins are here and one of them died in our back yard . I would say it starved . I have seed out now so maybe it will help them get through this weather . Going tomorrow and buy a 50 lb. bag of cracked corn and another 50 lb. of whole kernel . That should get them through March .
