Well skunk season is in high gear here so if one of those varmints comes along I would gladly appreciate the bark!

We live on the back side of skunk hollow and have to drive thru on the way to town on Saturday and usually someone has run over one and it stinks a long time before we get to it --one is there now on the roadway and it has been run over many times it looks like a toupee, but it still smells like a tub of bad coffee--almost put me off my breakfast--whew !

They're thick here, it's 14 miles to town to pick up the kids from school, saw 4 ran over in that stretch.

Oddly enough, though we see and smell them squashed along the streets and roads all the time, and live pretty much up in the woods, In four summers here in Ruidoso I have yet to see a live one. Okay with me.
