What would cause the starter clutch to come loose? I used an impact driver to install it. What would be the tourq spec for that nut.(

Did you put the nut on with the bevel out, the flat side goes against the gear. Alleyoop

It takes a special tool on that nut and it's reverse thread. You still used an impact? Alley has the right idea, the bevel is critical. First the flat side of the washer goes in:
Then the nut just like Alley said:
Then this is how I tighten it, it is a soft nut, I hope you didn't damage it with the impact:
Even if you did you didn't hurt the crank with it's hard metal, you'd just need another nut......like Alley.
