I have a 2009 Cfmoto Echarm 150 with efi. It would occasionally stale when slowing for a light but start right back up. I took to a scooter repair shop and now it won't even start. When you turn on key the headlight comes on the horn will work, the directionals work and gauges will illuminate . Brake light also works. Nothing else happens. No fuel pump sound and no starter action. I tested kill switch and found no problem. Could this be a ECU issue. Does anyone have a good wiring diagram for the ECU pin outs? The one in the manual doesn't show up very good so I can't read it very we'll. I also checked the roll over switch and that is working fine too

Take it back to the shop, to check the ECU you need special equipment. Alleyoop

does is have a remote and or alarm? if so disengage the alarm and remote, hit the off button a couple of times then try with the KEY ON and squeezing the brake and start button. If no alarm or remote, then there is something disconnected and it may be the SOLENOID that is disconnected so find your solenoid and you will find two wires wrapped up going into the SOLENOID follow that and on the end there should be a PLUG plugged into the harness. IF not plugged in find the other plug that should be around there and plug it in. Alleyoop

Alleyoop, thanks. I tried that. Starter does crank engine but won't start. I don't hear fuel pump and I also don't get the normal check engine light (Amber) that came on when I turn key to the on position

When you say you do not hear the FUEL PUMP do you know it is an ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP? If so follow the wires from the fuel pump and see where they connect to that at least will help with were it is getting it's voltage from, Straight from the IGNITION or a Controller like an ECU. Alleyoop

Yes it's electric. The wires from pump go to a relay. The coil side of relay has 12 volts on one lead and looks like it needs a ground from ECU. I'm afraid they may have fried ECU. Any idea where I can get one cheaper than the prices I see on-Line? $575 is best I see

I was just going to mention the ECUs are expensive. If the Pump just needs ground to work you could put a ground yourself with a toggle switch, BUT it appears the ECU controls other functions which are also not working. If it was just one thing you could get around it with direct wiring. Alleyoop

Yeah your right I could probably by-pass the ECU for pump and starter but there is a Lot of other things that the ECU controls and monitors. Thanks for your input I wish I had a better (clearer) wiring diagram

Yea, I believe it also feeds the CDI so as to control the fueling mixture, retard or advance the timing. Alleyoop

Good question john. This thing is not doing much other than the headlights, horn, brakelights. . How can I check spark when it won't even crack? it seems like everything goes thru the ECU. Mike
