Hey guys Recently i did a project which i had to remove the muffler and tires. And guess what i found the exhaust gasket was missing? dont know if it came from the dealer that way or the last time i bought the bike to a local bike shop to work on the tires lost it? is it dangerous to drive without a exhaust gasket? im not talking about the big gasket which connects the header to the actual muffler, no, im talking about the gasket that goes underneath the bike.

You talking about the exhaust gasket that seals the exhaust coming from the motor? Alleyoop

It should have a gasket, otherwise it will leak and run lean and will backfire. Backfiring will damage the exhaust valve. So Put a gasket on it the head you will notice will have an indentation where part of the gasket fits. When you tighten the flange up make sure you come up evenly so that the gasket does not push out to one side. Once you bring up the flange evenly just nice and snuge then give each nut a little more so that it tightens evenly. Alleyoop
